St. Francis Day Celebration at Crissy Field
Every year, Grace Cathedral, the Diocesan Commission for the Environment and The Regeneration Project join together in celebration of St. Francis. We meet at seven-thirty AM on the bridge over the lagoon at Crissy Field in the SF Presidio. With Elizabeth MacNamee, a expert birder, we explore the awakening lagoon. As we make out way along the path to the cypress trees at mid point, we see fauna and fowl often not spotted during the day. At eight-thirty, the Rev. Sally Bingham will celebrate an outdoor Holy Eucharist in honor of San Francisco patron Saint, Francis who talked to the birds and is sometimes known as the first ecological minister. Hope you will join us. Children and pets welcome, but dogs on leashes, please, because of the birds. (Crissy Field, San Francisco)
