“Cool Congregations participants learn how to calculate their carbon footprint – the amount of climate change pollution emitted by their personal energy and consumption choices. This allows them to implement energy efficiency measures in their own homes, as well as learning how to raise awareness and help others in their faith communities reduce their contribution to climate change. The Cool Congregations program, sponsored by Iowa Interfaith Power and Light, puts an environmental spin on traditional financial stewardship programs.”
