Georgia Interfaith Power & Light (GIPL) member congregations are saving money and growing in mission as green measures continue. Two GIPL supported Episcopal churches, St. Gregory’s in Athens and St. Alban’s in Monroe, are highlighted in this article. GIPL Executive Director Alexis Chase said, “A lot of people tithe to their faith community, and a lot of that money may go to paying the energy bill.  Our goal is to lower those costs so that more money goes right to the mission of those bodies of faith.”
