Chattanooga is home to a rich and diverse faith community. Whether politically conservative or progressive, it is the call of all faith communities to support the care of creation and be stewards of the earth. In this article, Sandra Kurtz discusses this idea and invites all members of faith communities to hear the Rev. Canon Sally Bingham. The Rev. Canon Bingham is the founder of The Regeneration Project and Interfaith Power & Light, organizations dedicated to the intersections of ecology and faith and nurturing the voices of faith leaders in these concerns. The Rev. Canon Bingham will facilitate a public discussion Sunday, March 27, 2-4 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church. Grist Magazine named Bingham a “Climate Hero” for her work linking religious faith to environment and recognizing climate change as a core moral issue.
