The Washington Post: Proponents of wind turbines off Virginia’s coast seeking commitments from Dominion

Virginia Interfaith Power & Light has joined forces with other organizations to form VA4Wind, a coalition that seeks to develop wind-sourced power in their region. This coalition has begun by petitioning Dominion Virginia Power to support wind farms. Dominion Power supplies areas of Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina with energy. Renewables account for less than 5% of Dominion’s energy sources. Currently, Dominion primarily utilizes coal-fired energy.
