Houston Chronicle: Pa. faith group outlines position on gas drilling

Pennsylvania Interfaith Power & Light issued a four-page “ethical analysis” that states their opposition to Marcellus Shale drilling, stating that the development of shale gas is not part of the strategy to end fossil fuel use and creates more environmental and health risks. Rabbi Daniel Swartz of Temple Hesed in Scranton and vice president of PA-IPL says,  “We believe there could be ethical ways to drill, but we’re not there yet.”
