North Hollywood-Tolucha Lake Patch: MCC in the Valley Receives ‘Green Oscar’ For Environmental Advocacy

November 16th, five multi-faith congregational members of California Interfaith Power & Light were recognized in four categories for their efforts to address global warming and energy conservation. “With this recognition,”  wrote Rev. Bob Shore-Gross of Metropolitan Community Church in the Valley who received an Oscar in the Advocacy category, “our faith community lives with the green grace of God’s Spirit in the network of bio-relationships and hope that our example may inspire other faith communities to generate compassion care for the Earth, altruism for life, and hope to counter the threats of catastrophic degradation and damage to the Earth.”
