Nearly 60 members of the clergy and laity in North Carolina – the second highest participation in the nation – signed up for this weekend’s Preach-In. More than 15 percent of total participation is from the Triangle area. “There’s no question that reliance on fossil fuels alone is not going to go away. How do you help people look at the change with hope and not despair?,” Richard Edens said. “I think that’s always the job of leadership and of congregations it’s a faithful response to God’s calling. It’s always taking us in new directions.”
