Durham Community Church Senior Pastor Mary Westfall admits by and large, churches aren’t energy efficient, but that is not the case for this church. Durham Community Church was recently praised as one of 20 churches nationwide that has reduced its carbon emissions by 20 percent.

Interfaith Power and Light (IPL), a national organization that takes actions against global warming by promoting energy conservation and efficiency, and renewable energy, has named Durham Community Church as one of its “20 Certified Cool Congregations.” Keep reading…
