Yesterday, President Obama announced a U.S commitment to reduce domestic carbon emissions 26-28% below 2005 levels by 2025. This is the U.S.commitment that was anticipated, along with that of other nations, ahead of the international climate meeting in Paris in December. Interfaith Power & Light thanks and applauds the president for his ongoing leadership and encourages continued actions on the part of the U.S. in order to achieve a strong global agreement to avoid catastrophic climate change.
