Given the task of helping to plan speakers for this year’s Living Lightly Fair, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Minnetrista, I asked a friend which topics she would like to hear about.

She said, “Jane, I’ve been trying to live sustainably for decades. I know about The Three R’s — reduce, reuse, and recycle. I know about ways to maintain the health of the planet and how to protect the environment. The people who come to the fair are mostly familiar with all this. What I’d like to hear is a speaker who will bring fresh energy and inspiration, not just more tips for how to live a green lifestyle.”

After much searching, I found just the right featured speaker — Wyatt Watkins, author, professional storyteller and violinist, and a Baptist minister.  Read More
