While Celeste Martinez walked the highway approaching Washington, D.C., with more than 100 other women on a pilgrimage built around migrant issues, Jo Holt and her family packed their bags for Philadelphia and an opportunity to explore the roots of religious liberty.

Both women, like many other Coloradans, have embraced Pope Francis’ visit to the eastern U.S. this week as a springboard for renewal, drawn by his humble personality as well as his messages on topics from immigration to the environment. Read More
