Annual Church-Wide Creation Celebration
Monday, April 13th through Sunday, May 10th
This year’s celebration will include creation-centered music, worship and education for all ages throughout the month. A special Earth Sunday service will feature Homestead Presbytery Executive, Rev. Stephen Earl preaching and presenting Westminster’s certification as an Earth Care Congregation. The Westminster Preschool will be learning to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle and will create earth care art for the Garden Room. Ladies Night Out will enjoy locally sourced food at Billy’s Restaurant on April 14th, History Buffs are invited to do the same at the Hub Care on Saturday May 9th, and Master Gardener advice will be available at the annual HostaMania on Sunday, May 10th.
Participants in the Presbyterian Climate Care Challenge will indicate their commitment to earth care by adding a leaf to the tree in the Garden Room, and a hands-on service project will reintroduce native plantings to the church grounds. Members of the community are welcome to participate in all events and will find more details on the church website, westminsterlincoln.org.
