Earth Care Summit: Living Waters. 5:30 to 8:45 p.m. (optional building tour at 4:30 p.m., registration and display tables at 5 p.m.) at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 12405 SW Butner Rd., Beaverton. EMO’s Interfaith Network for Earth Concerns invites all congregations interested in being better stewards of creation to a celebration and gathering of congregations going green. The event will include a locally-grown dinner, Rep. Earl Blumenauer speaking on “Creating Jobs and Partnerships to Restore Our Water Commons,” an inspirational keynote by Bishop Skylstad (leader in the Columbia River Pastoral Letter Project), and workshops and roundtables on regional water, global water, water and climate, and water and worship (view more on workshops and roundtables). Practical and local actions for congregations, individuals and communities will also be provided. Come network with others and be inspired! Our host congregation is the steward of a wetland and forest on its grounds and recently completed a remodel with green features. Congregations and denominations are encouraged to co-sponsor (download co-sponsorship form). Register securely online now or download a registration brochure.
