The current global climate crisis has no geographical boundaries, but the consequences of historic racial prejudices and structural racism have created systemic social and economic inequities in which communities of color feel the brunt and find it challenging to escape climate change. This presentation focuses on the impact and correlations of climate change, social inequity, and racial injustice. Local experts will lead conversations about each of these issues and offer positive perspectives for action toward the creation of a healthy, equitable, and sustainable planet.
Hermina Glass-Hill (GIPL) and Kevin Ionno (Climate Reality Project of Coastal Georgia) will lead this workshop.
This workshop is part of GIPL’s Eco-Faith from Home: 30 Days of Climate Action: http://gipl.org/30days.
